4th day of Phoenatos  -->  After eight months of seclusion along the trails and caves of the Mt. Aenatumgana, I returned to Icemule to share my tale of Icemule's Dark Winter with my mama, Soliere, and some friends including Hlendril and Laralana.  Rioja could not make it due to a prior engagement with the Drakes Vanguard.

Mama brought some iceblossom tea from White Haven to share.  Athinial, whom I missed while away, did not fair very well as he arrived to my table dead.  Soliere gave him so much tea that Tylayli was concerned that Athinial was experiencing a "teaboarding" prior to being returned to life.

20th day of Lormesta  -->  After speaking with Palvella; with the heavy burden of injustices committed against me and the ineffectiveness of the gods to uphold their own law; with the corrupting of the minds and souls of so many I once called "friend;" I answered the call of the tormented soul in the mysterious arch consuming Town Center of Icemule Trace -- mayhaps there is one person I may save this night, I thought to myself -- and walked into the portal.

17th day of Lormesta  -->  All around good day.  Met a new friend and earned another chrism.  Gonna be a long entry.

A new Friend  -- Drevihyin, bard extraordinaire

Speaking to you, Drevihyin says, "Cute arrow." (the one stuck in my head)

You grin at Drevihyin.

You see Drevihyin the Skald. He appears to be an Elf. He is taller than average. He appears to be very young. He has luminous gold-flecked storm grey eyes and fair skin. He has long, fine golden blonde hair drawn back from the face in a ponytail by a stiffened leather wrap pierced with a wooden dowel. He has an angular face and sharp pointed ears. He has a small opaque spider on his left upper arm.

You can hardly recognize him covered in all that soot and ash!  (I later learned this is indicative of being on Teras Island)

He has some minor cuts and bruises on his right leg. He is holding a crackling black silver star-capped longbow in his left hand. He is wearing a white silk-lined cobalt wool cloak embroidered with silver thread, a sigil-etched leather gauntlet with veil iron along the fingers, a small bone periapt, a desiccated chicken head talisman, a shining bronze insignia, an eahnor-bound fireleaf badge, a black mail backpack, a full suit of golvern-linked coat-of-plates, a leather crafter's apron, an emerald band, an enameled wooden bucket, an old cracked leather belt pouch, an alum-studded leather frog, and a pair of viper skin pants.

Speaking to Drevihyin, you say, "Says the one covered in soot and ash."

You settle yourself on the carved ice bench for a moment's rest.

Drevihyin glares at you.

Drevihyin sneezes, raising a small cloud of ash from his face.

Speaking to Drevihyin, you ask, "Sweeping many a chiminey lately?"

Speaking to you, Drevihyin says, "Your moms chiminey."

Drevihyin draws a glowing pattern in the air before you.

Your thoughts drift off to a battle field where a lone figure, bedecked in battle worn armor, sends wave after wave of undead to a more peaceful eternity.  (nice dream, by the way)

You awake from a dream startled.

You are lying down.

Drevihyin just nudged you.

Drevihyin chuckles.

Speaking to Drevihyin, you say, "I'm sure you won't tells my mama, Soliere, that to her face."

Drevihyin chuckles.

You sit up.

Kotin smiles as he pulls out his rapid-fire snow ball launcher.

You grin maniacally!

You scrape around and gather up a handful of snow.

You roll the handful of snow around in your hands until it is perfectly rounded.

You line up your shot and let the rounded snowball fly!

The rounded snowball hits Drevihyin in the face! Nice shot!

You burst into a fit of insane laughter!

l drev

It is difficult to get a good look at Drevihyin due to the number of mirror images of him nearby.  You can hardly recognize him covered in all that soot and ash!

You say, "It didn't help... ya still dirty."

You sigh.

Speaking to you, Drevihyin asks, "Want elementals?"

You nod respectfully at Drevihyin.

=== White Haven ===

Maylan recites:

"Welcome to White Haven Service Night!
Don't be shy, let us know how we can help!
Please speak loudly if we don't hear you the first time!
TONIGHT - for a free chrism! RECITE your best pick-up line to the beautiful Enestrie, our newest officer!
You must RECITE the line for it to count."

Here were my lines:  (Enestrie is a Cleric who raises the dead -- therefore all the death-related lines)

"Hey there, good looking ... I'm here because ... I'm dying ta meet you."

"I blacked out ... when I was roused, I lay in the presence of an Angel"

"Is it me or are you the light at the end of the tunnel?"

"I'm the Defier of the Gods, but ... youbeauty is starting to make me a believer "

"Why don't I go kill myself so I's get another chance at your embrace?"

"Ya know why I likes pushing up dasies?  Because it gives me a chance to see you ... "

"Why go to a pub to lift ya spirits?  I'd prefer to have you raise mine.  "

"I'd lay down my life for a singular chance to have you breath into me your breath of life. "

"Given a choice, I'd choose you.  Given no choice, I'd die until you chose me.  "

Enestrie-1/18/18 at 2:24 PM

Okay, last night at White Haven, in order to get their free chrism, our guests had to recite a pick-up line to me. Now, I have heard a lot of pick up lines in my day, and for a time I had a list hanging in a local club of the worst ones along with my snappy come-backs to them. Imagine my surprise when Kotin came up with quite a few pick-up lines that were not only excellent; but I had no snappy come-back for them either! I am posting the list so that you all can enjoy them. My thanks to Kotin, who reminded me that there can be some incredibly sweet guys out there!  (Thank you Enestrie!)

14th day of Lormesta  -->  Invited as a panelist to discuss the recent events concerning the Mysterious Tome in Icemule.  The full transcript can be found here.

12th day of Lormesta  -->  Had a Commune in the Temple to divine some solution to the Mystery of the Tome.  Lumnis told us there is a key and that we must find it.  If the key those simplest words?

11th day of Lormesta  -->  Made vocal request that the town of Icemule stop pardoning people for killing others with mass attack magics.  Forced the issue and it made the news, read here.  People needs to start respecting others in town.

9th day of Lormesta  -->  Today I learned a secret word to whisper in order to request magics.  As such, I shall keep the word and magician secret at this time.  I was asked to open up my mind, sos I rubbed my crystal amulet, however this was not what the magician had in mind.

8th day of Lormesta  -->  I found two scraps of papers that turned out to be a note from Dirvy to Oubar.  I kept them safe until I was able to find Oubar upon which time I made them available to him.  I taught Laralana how to make fire in the cave.  It seems the Lich Lord does not teach such things.

6th day of Lormesta  -->  I lead a mission beyond the cave opening on Mt. Aenatumgana with Kayse and Rendena.  Later, the vortex began speaking to me again.  The voice claimed to be friend, to want to show us the way.  I inquired as to how I can find such a way.

4th day of Lormesta  -->  Today I was attacked and murdered by the sheruvian witch, Rarr.  Went Bandit Cleavering with Kayse and Kirael along the Trail in the afternoon.  Later, a voice from the arch laughs evilly, Your magics feed me!  After a battle, the voice sobs and claims that, even though it has been defeated, it has learned more about our defenses.  The voice whispered of revenge on Icemule, but for what?  That sheruvian witch came to "fight."  Jackals were among the attackers this evening?  Coincidence?  I believe Dirvy has been "touched" or otherwise compromised by her interaction with Nihala and the Tome.  Dirvy sided with the murderous witch and has accepted him into the town.  This witch later killed a great many in town as they were fighting to defend Icemule.  Here are the events, as they unfolded.

3rd day of Lormesta (1), 5118  -->  Niadja stepped down from her post at White Haven to pursue other endeavors.  She will be missed.

31th day of Eorgaen  -->  The gods has some sort of meeting with the little folks of the lands.  There were drinks and food to be shared.  The gods claim that Silk is better than Kotin, but I beg to differ.

30th day of Eorgaen  -->  A voice of the Bandit Leader was heard in Town Center demanding the Tome.  I tried seeking guidance from the voice of the whereabouts of the Tome.  I have sought the Tome, but it remains hidden from me.  Many in the crowd jeered at the voice.  Then we were ambushed by bandits.  We pushed them back to the shadows.  But I wonder why the townsfolk are so quick to battle....  Could they have been 'touched' by the magics somehow?

Nihala appeared, with the Tome, would not elaborate one what's she's learned but offered the Tome to the Bandit Leader.  The Bandit tried to use an anti-magic crystal to hold the Tome, but was swiftly killed upon grabbing it.  The Tome reads : A History of Ancient Sorcery, Recorded by Daukhera Darkflorr.

Here is my account of what happened to the Bandit Leader:

A rugged bandit leader shakes, attempting to open the tome.  Brilliant lights spew this way and that!

The bandit leader struggles, looking terrified, but is unable to drop the tome!  Its aura begins to engulf her!

The bandit leader screams in terror as she dissolves into a pool of stinking purple liquid, flesh, and bones.

29th day of Eorgaen  -->  Visited Darkstone Castle today with Jalodg and Rendena and Killa and Udari.  At the pool, we must: swim down, kneel and using a short sword, pry the gap.  We dethroned many a so-called Troll King.

Later that night, Icemule was visited by the Bandit Leader again.  Folks were generally cross with him.  The Bandit claimed to represent the Far Market Organization and desired the Tome.  Offered to make a deal with us if we presented the Tome.  The Bandit pointed out that since the Dome remains, that magics also remains in flux.  I inquired how the Bandit knew the Tome was here.  He appeared to KNOW that Nihala has access to the Tome.  After some arguing, the Bandit whistled for his posse.  Then the Bandit ran to Nihala's cottage.

(Oddly, the sex of the Bandit Leader changes often ... is this some form of sorcery as well?  Apparently confused by this, Roblar tried flirting with the Bandit Leader going as far as revealing his chest hair to the Bandit.)

Rudar insulted the Bandit and was promptly given an elective tracheotomy whereupon he died.  After which time the Bandit's posse showed up and a brawl ensued as Nihala's cottage burned down.

Nihala finally arrived and the Bandit demanded the Tome from her.  I requested an update on her research of the Tome.  Nihala had the Tome!  Then she allowed the Bandit to take it, but the power within the Tome  is somehow bound to Nihala and the Bandit died a horrible death.  Another wave of bandits rolled in.  Nihala hid and, when it was all over, indicated that this was just the beginning of the battle to come.  Nihala still does not believe that HIbbits is culpable for what has happened.  Nihala would not go into detail about the what she has learned from the Tome, however, she promised to place the first few pages on display this week.  I look forward to learning what I can from these texts.

NIhala can't understand the text, but when she reads it, it's almost as though she is dreaming.  I asked her to describe the dreams since she could not describe the text.  There are a couple who share my belief that the Tome MUST be read in order to learn what forces are against us and how to defeat them.

28th day of Eorgaen  -->  I met Blusteri the Seamstress.  She plied her services to those who visited her at the Patio.  While she redesigned many an item, something strange happened to Kilded.  This is how it all unfolded:

[The Patio]

Colorful, glass-paned lanterns strung overhead illuminate the natural stone walls and painted cobblestones. Wooden tables surrounded by mismatched chairs take up most of the space, except for a large stove and supply bin in one corner with a pair of high-backed rocking chairs arranged in front. Water trickles down the far wall, pooling into a shallow, carved basin. You also see a trash barrel. Also here: Rioja, Bluethen, Kilded, Commander Roblar, Seamstress Blusteri who is sitting Obvious exits: east, west, out

You see Seamstress Blusteri. She appears to be a Halfling. She is short. She appears to be in the bloom of youth. She has silver-flecked pale green eyes and rose-tinged porcelain skin. She has short, curly strawberry-hued hair. She has a bit of bright pink lipstick drawn outside her natural lip line. She is in good shape. She is holding a dull butter knife in her left hand. She is wearing a ribbon necklace strung with glass icicles, a watery grey oilskin bag slung over her shoulder, a cranberry-striped ivory cotton apron over a knee-length pale pink wool dress, a white wicker basket, and a pair of unevenly cropped knitted silk leggings.

A long shadow separates from Kilded's form, slowly drifting out of the area.

Billowing grey shadows crawl up Kilded's body.  <-- he was the first to interact with a cursed mayor Nihala

From nearby, a quiet voice calls out for Kilded...

Mylenna exclaims, "Kilded going to die!"

Jalodg's jaw drops.

Kilded asks, "Whaat?"

Kilded just trudged away moving out.

Jalodg melodically asks, "Oh oohs. Wheresy Kilded goes?"  <-- to die, of course!

Speaking to Jalodg, Maylan asks, "Not sure. Didn't you hear that voice?"

Speaking melodically to Maylan, Jalodg says, "I dids, I dids."

Kilded just trudged in.

Kilded asks, "Did someone call for me?"

Speaking heartily to Kilded, you ask, "Someone did... how'd the meeting go?"

Speaking to you, Kilded asks, "Meeting?"

In a perfect imitation of Alendi, from behind a weathered tanik strongbox, a voice amiably exclaims, "Woo hoo! Kilded's back again!"

Kilded waves.

Kilded says, "I need to go smash things."

Kilded stands up.

Kilded just trudged away moving out.  <-- and that was the last time anyone ever saw Kilded again.

27th day of Eorgaen  -->  Today I went to fight Minotaurs and Troll Kings with the Bandit Cleavers and friends.  These beasts are near twice my training, yet my combat skill was superior to theirs.  I write about it in the Exploits of the Bandit Cleavers.

27th day of Eorgaen -->  I traded away my sharpened steel claidhmore and my villswood greatshield--my original weapons--to Hlendril.  I hope he benefits as greatly as I did.  I instructed him to pass them down, as I have, to a worthy student in the next generation once he has attained stronger gear.

27th day of Eorgaen -->  Today I found this fella named Kahan.  He kept returning with diseases, likely from leapers.  However, he would never respond to anyone's questions or comments.  Arnylon grew concerned about this behavior and Kahan's disease.  I replied that the only cure was death.  Then, while helping Rioja and Tetreves with bandits, I finds Kahan's corpse in a ditch.  I drags him to Town Center:

Speaking heartily to Xanthras, you say, "I... this how I founds him."

Speaking to you, Xanthras says, "Sounds good. We'll stick wtih that story."

Speaking heartily to Xanthras, you say, "This guys musta ate something bad... like a knife to or short sword."

Speaking heartily to Saevia, you say, "I dragged in this corpse."

Saevia nods slowly.

Saevia whispers, "And what got him?"

Speaking heartily to Saevia, you say, "He had a disease, but he's cured now."

Saevia bursts out in a sudden snort of laughter.

Saevia gently rolls the lifeless body of Kahan over.

Saevia grins evilly.

Speaking heartily to Saevia, you ask, "Might you be able to return him to life?"

Speaking huskily to you, Saevia says, "Sure, if he ever replies to my question."

Speaking heartily to Kahan, you say, "Don't worry, she won't hurts ya."

Speaking heartily to Saevia, you say, "I thinks he's getting diseased by them leapers in the snowfields."

Speaking heartily to Kahan, you say, "Playing with leapers is a sure way to gets diseased... especially whens they leaps at you and claws."

Saevia agrees with you.

Then Kahan gets up, eats herbs in front of Xanthras, the healer and runs off.  He died less than 10 minutes later.

He died some more... Lady Saevia and I dragged him to the Penitentiary.

21st day of Eorgaen --> I decided to continue working on my present hypothesis concerning the Events around the Mysterious Tome.  Reviewing my notebook I remind myself that the riddle is: Primeval power long ago forbidden.  With simplest words can be unhidden.

I believe that the riddle refers to ancient rituals.  The primeval power may be that which is found in the youthful and vibrant souls.  The power forbidden may be a form of sacrifice.  The sacrifice must be one of blood as the bandits came searching not only for the tome, but for Nihala who has been ... altered ... by the tome.  It appears her very soul has been imprinted into the tome.

Hibbits is aware of this or has been affected by the tome as well.  He appears incapable of seeing things that the rest of us do and he acts strangely when offered evidence contrary to what he "sees."  I believe that the sacrifice may involve the mayor or even Hibbits...   This is an evil magic.  I believe that the primeval power is derived from sacrifice and draining the life force from the victim.  Nihala appears very weak.  So, she may be undergoing the sacrifice at this very moment.

The best way to prevent this sacrificial ritual is to learn what is contained in the tome.  The tome must contain the "simplest words" that must be spoken.  I wonder where the tome is presently.  Can I sneak a peek and discover these simple words that are needed to save Icemule?

I'm concerned that if we don't read the tome soon, it may be lost in the next invasion.  Invasions have been increasing and the bandit leader explicitly noted that the tome and the mayor had a bounty that was to be recovered.  Who placed the bounty.  Could they be found?  Could we ... extract ... the secrets of the tome from this person or being?

20th day of Eorgaen  -->  On my trip to Zul today:

The ferryman recites,
"A lass who knew Solhaven's Baron
Said he'd lost all 'cept what he was wearin'
      When money was great
        She thought him first rate
Lack of silver she couldn't be bearin'"

Mni joined the ranks of the Bandit Cleavers today.

15th day of Eorgaen  -->  Hibbits trained up a new crop of defenders for the town, but they were quickly overrun leading to the death of Hibbits.  I saw in the distance, Hibbits flee toward Clovertooth Hall!  Coward!  The townspeople jeer at him!  That's when the "training" got out of control.  I heard an excessively loud midwife shriek, "I just saw Hibbits fleeing into the Pinefar forest!"

After much fighting, we pushed back the invaders.  The, I heard a passing traveler remarks, "I don't think Hibbits is to blame for what is happening to him, despite what he knows..."  Hibbits later died, again.  But this time, it was in the Elemental Confluence.

14th day of Eorgaen  -->  I found a dark gully heading toward Pinefar.  After some initial investigating, I returned to town quickly to get a search party.  After some investigating, we determined that it was not related to the strange events surrounding Hibbits, the mayor and the tome.

Earlier, Pietra apologized to me for the unkind words she leveled at me concerning my approach to solving the Hibbits mystery.  Then Pietra and I discussed our hypotheses ideas with Enestrie based on the clue: "Primeval power long ago forbidden.  With simplest words can be unhidden."  My hypothesis, based on all the events and the history of the Council of Ten, is that the primeval power is a love or blood sacrifice.  Enestrie pointed out that sacrifice is not longer acceptable--to which I agreed and pointed out that the second part the of line says, "long ago forbidden."  This piqued her interest.  If this be the case, then we must discover what the simplest words are so that we might learn to control the magic that has been, thus far, hidden from us and, even more so, from Hibbits.

Mayhaps the Bandits are trying to use the tome to discover the proper ritual to sacrifice the mayor to end this calamity....

13th day of Eorgaen  -->  I bought a perfect forged, 7x, T5, blessable greataxe tonight.  Spent all my savings.  I tested it out and am very happy with it.  Later, I went to White Haven's service night and won a chrism for my penguin love poem:

"Penguins, Penguins everywhere
listen to me, these words I share
      when you're in love
      chase not that dove
      instead find a suited derriere"

Later, I arranged to met with Hlendril and a Lady.  Hlendril made his apology and it was accepted.

12th day of Eorgaen  -->  Hibbits met us outside the Clovertooth Hall.  Nihala was also in attendance, however, she was ill.  Hibbits lost his shadow and it remains outside the Hall.  Nihala brought the tome, none of us were able to touch it after Dirvy tried to heal the mayor.  Then a bandit leader arrived, demanding we hand over the tome and the mayor on accounts of a bounty.  She claimed the tome had a piece of the mayor's soul trapped within it.  Hibbits and the mayor ran inside the Hall, then a couple waves of Bandits swept through the town and we killed as fast as they arrived.  The Bandit Cleavers of Elanthia were on duty this night.

10th day of Eorgaen  -->  Competed in the Drunk Dash hosted by Helden Hall.  I ended up drunk.  Tetreves beat me in befores I could secure third place.  Go Tetreves!  On my way to forage for some snowberries on the Trail, I was ambushed by another mage casting a mass attack spell--it literally blew off my right leg.  These mages needs to be brought under control and learn to use magics responsibly.

I went to the Yule Ball...  Upon entering, I was singled out by Frost King Rovvigen who proceeded to steal kisses from me!

9th day of Eorgaen  --> Competed in the House of Paupers scavenger hunt around Icemule....  I tied for third place.  There was some confusion about a sash that was on the list.  Apparently the local merchant no longer carried the one on the list.  Later, I found Hlendril and had a long talk with him abouts the way he treats the Ladys.  I agreed to arrange a meeting so that he might apologize for his behavior.

8th day of Eorgaen  -->  Competed in the Black Hand Trading Company's scavenger hunt around Icemule.... I tied with Roblar for second place!  Later in the evening into the early morning

7th day of Eorgaen -->  Nihala died tonight.  Enestrie was first to arrive at the cottage.  ICICLE was meeting at the time of death, with Hibbits.  Hibbits would not allow anyone inside the cottage except for Enestrie who raised and spoke to Nihala.

Instead of seeking answers immediately, the group left to a frost queen/king coronation.  I was utterly flabbergasted: how could these peoples think of celebrating when the mayor died and we had, perhaps, a closer look at that mysterious tome?  Fools!  Fools the lot of them!

Later, Enestrie related that Nihala told her to take the tome, yet she could not touch it.  Nihala then gave her a page from the tome which read:  "Primeval power long ago forbidden.  With simplest words can be unhidden."  This was the second to the last page in the tome.  Enestrie softly said that Nihala asked her to keep an eye on Hibbitts.  She said he is a dear friend, but something is not right.  Then Enestrie said "that is all I will share" implying there is more.

The ICICLE council reconvened without the rest of us.  Looking back at history, I have concerns about this "council" and their intents for the rest of the city.  There is an ancient tale concerning the Council of Ten.  Later, my mama, Soliere, and I conducted some investigations.  There are some similarities with the tale of the Council of Ten.  Soliere and I visited the known areas of town, the pyramid on Thurfel's Island, the orbs, the dome, the penitentiary -- where pietra died for getting too close to the orb in there.  I spoke the words, "I love you" and "My heart is yours" to the dome and the orbs in hopes that those were the simplest words that could unhide the primeval power long ago forbidden (secret romance in the tale of the Council of Ten).  The orbs reacted, but then returned to normal.

Mama inspected the sigil on the dome and glyphs on the pyramid and concluded that they have to deal with the Eye of Koar.  Mayhaps even an Eye of Koar emerald on accounts of the emerald color of the stand.

I noted to the group, who seemed oblivious, that the shadow abouts Hibbits has been changing from a simple shadow to more of a tempest.  How much more violent will the shadow get?

Yet, for all my efforts, some in the group call me idiot and no one stood up in my defense.  Is the group becoming corrupted by the shadow or is this simply their true nature?

I will continue my research.

6th day of Eorgaen  -->  While at White Haven's service night, I heard a voice whispering to someone else just behind you, "Did you hear there's a sentry outside Nihala's home now?  I think she knows more about the Mayor than she's letting on...  I went over to investigate and this is what I learned:

When I asked about Hibbits, The sentry asks me, "Do you trust him?"

When I asked about the book, she replies, "Best to ask Hibbits about such things, sir."

When I asked about the snow, she gives me a strange look.

When I asked about the shadow, she leans in and replies, "I've heard of these shadows, but I'm not authorized to discuss the matter further."

When I asked about Nihala, she says loudly, "Yes, the Mayor.  We hope she gets well soon!"

5th day of Eorgaen -->  Synyster returned to the well with his new lady, Laraynis.   He introduced me as, this is Kotin, Warrior, Defier of the Gods and Originator of Rage Plate Do.

Later, I gets a voice in my head saying:

A voice whispers in your ear, "Open the book..."

and then,

A voice in your ear demands, "Open the boooooooook!"

I search and search for a book, but cannot finds it.

Then, after searching all throughout town, this happened: You could swear the eye-shaped sigil on the dome just looked at you.

Then, A soft light streaks from the eye-shaped sigil, healing Vlarei, but she still looks uneasy about it.

A voice calls out softly from the shadows, "We're watching, and we want your book."
A voice calls out softly from the shadows, "Present it to us, or we'll take it."  The voice fades with some trailing footsteps, headed south.

You pause for a moment, wondering if you should assert your theories about Nihala and the tome as facts.

I says: You heartily say, "I thinks the Tome IS about weather magics."You heartily say, "And that Nihala gots ill reading it."  I believe the snow fall is sorcery from the tome.

A low buzz reverberates through the ground beneath your feet, but nothing visible accompanies it.  The sound ceases abruptly, leaving behind a deafening silence.  Arnylon asks, "Any idea what's going on underground?  And has anyone gone ahead and looked down the well?"

Speaking heartily to a pulsating low electrum dome incised with a shimmering eye-shaped sigil, you say, "I thinks the tome has weather magics and when Nihala read it, she fell ill with some sort of sorcery cold."
Shadowy tendrils rise from the ground and quickly coalesce into a humanoid form.  As quickly as they appeared, the shadows retreat back into the surroundings, leaving Archeth in their place.

Earlier in the day, I saw this:  A dark shadow shifts in the trees, moving back and forth unnaturally, following you.

3rd day of Eorgaen (12)  -->  Hibbits selected the first ICICLE counsel and took us to visit the mayor.  She was in bed, ill, but spoke with Kilded who shared with us that she acknowledged the orbs and mysterious shadows.  She was in the company of an attendant and an "errant shadow."  We also noticed a yellowed tome on her desk.  Apparently, she found it lock up and began reading it prior to the recent mysterious events abouts town.

Shortly after our visit with the mayor, streaks of light burst forth from the orbs and we were invaded by all manner of beast.  We fought and fought.  I led the vanguard, getting seriously injured on multiple occasions against the strongest beasts in the lands.  Oubar was the group leader who, after some advice from Rioja and Jalodg decided to have the group follow me into battle as I raged from one encounter to the next.  Unfortunately for me, the group decided to loot befores joining me in the final battle where I died gravely outnumbered by enemies with far greater combat training than I.  Before I died, I made sure to take down numerous foes with my trusty claidhmore.

26th day of Eoantos  -->  Turned in my pub crawl drinks.  Earned the 250k reward from Balantine and then a second 250k note from Goldstr as a bonus!  I'm looking forward to buying some new gear now.

22nd day of Eoantos  -->  On my loooong, three-day, pub-crawl, I heard the ferryman recite:

The ferryman recites,
"There was an old bard name of Kyle
Who claimed that he came from the Isle
      But he couldn't tell you
        A thing 'bout Kharam-Dzu
So his claim was most clearly a pile."

The ferryman chuckles.

On the way back, the ferry man recited:

The ferryman recites,
"There was a young man from the Rest
Who said it was clearly the best
      But with krolvin out there
        And a Captain that glares
I said, 'Son, you must be speaking in jest!'"

20th day of Eoantos -->  Escorted a scribe from Icemule to Zul today.  On the ferry ride:

The ferryman says, "Back in my day there was no ferry here.  We had to swim across, in full plate armor.  Upstream, both ways!"

Now, this is MY kind of guy!

16th day of Eoantos -->  Hibbits returned to town.  Spoke about strange things, including the mayor's illness and indicated that we should search the penitentiary.  And, so we did!

15th day of Eoantos -->  Halline sent me up to the frozen corpses to find a very peculiar heirloom.  It was a jade-tipped silver rod with the initials PP.  It took so long to find it and I thought the experience was so hilarious, that I decided to see it there is someone willing to buy it.  I'm selling it here.

Later this night, Hibbits showed his face again at White Haven's service night.  He spoke about somethings and it became clear that the amount of snow fall isn't the only peculiar thing going on arounds here.

14th day of Eoantos -->  had a nice time in Pinefar today.  I glanced upward at the sound of a shrill cry.  Majestically, an osprey circles the lake, its feathered wings brushing the sky.  It slowly spirals downward, finally alighting upon the edge-water pine, next to its nest.  The stoic bird watches from its perch, occasionally turning its head as it inspects its domain.  Satisfied that all is well, the osprey spreads its wings and takes to the air again, flying off to the south.  Before long, it is nothing more than a small dot hung above the horizon.

8th day of Eoantos -->  On my way to Zul for escort.

The ferryman recites,
"There was a young man from the Landing
Whose primary employ was in branding
      He sat on the iron
        Was quickly on fire n'
Now wears pants made from some steel banding."

The ferryman chuckles.

8th day of Eoantos -->  Short chat while hunting with my friend, Alyiel:

You smile.
You heartily say, "I'm in a debate with the gods now."
Alyiel raises an eyebrow.
You heartily say, "About magics."
You heartily say, "I wrote about it in my journal last night."
Alyiel asks, "Do people win debates with the gods?

Later, Zishral came to town center with only Lady Rendena and I present and asks for immediate help to stop bleeding.  Then he cries that I tended his bleeding.

7th day of Eoantos -->  Found a 99 pound box in storm giants.  Put it in a disk and then lost it when I was killed by another mass attack spell attack.  Been getting attacked all week by ill-trained sorcerers, rangers and bards casting mass attack spells on the Trail.  These casters can't fight without killing everyone and the gods sit back and watch, doing nothing to curb this terrible behavior.  Follow the conversation here.

7th day of Eoantos -->  Upon returning home from an escort to Zul, the ferryman recited a story for us:

The ferry slides over a section of churning water near the center of the river.  Though the boat vibrates heavily, protesting in loud creaks and groans, the ferryman seems unperturbed.

The ferryman recites,
"There was a young lady from Icemule
And everyone said she was quite cruel
      The men called her 'honey'
        And tried for her money
But she left them to drown in an ice pool."

The ferryman chuckles.

You chuckle.

Lord Vaposhot was too busy waiting to get to the other side to have heard it.

6th day of Eoantos -->  A day of Help!  The Great Lady Rendena required assistance securing a trade deal.  I provided transportation between Icemule, Solhaven and the Landing and connection to the seller.  She initially offered me  a big note which I thought was too generous.  Then, when the deal was completed, she also offered an invar claidhmore.  Now this was too much.  I turned down the note and accepted the invar claidhmore.  After some inspection, it turns out the claidhmore was worth way more than the note.  It provides enhancements to stamina, multi-strike, combat maneuvers and ambushing.  I almost fainted.  Amazing.

Later, I got to help Alendi who gave the Bandit Cleavers of Elanthia a chrism for slaying a horde of bandits.

2nd day of Eoantos -->  Met a strange fella by the name of Hlendril in the Raging Thrak Inn when visiting mama.  He spoke oddly about some cursed illness his father suffers from and requested our aide.  Then he proceeded to insinuate that Citan and I would makes good slaves for his human Knights.  Soliere considered the proposition, however, with limited detail, she backed out.  As a result, Citan and I also backed out.  I advised the human to come back with details on the lay of the lands, resources and targets.

1st day of Eoantos (11) -->  I received a hug from my friend, Jalodg via Brewyte.  Brewyte passed on this affection which I returned with a hug of my own.  Brewyte wanted to makes sure Jalodg reads abouts it in my journal:  Speaking to you, Brewyte says, "Now write it in yer journal, and be sure to show him I did it."

31st day of Jastatos --> Tonight I went with Maylan and House White Haven treating from one great house to another.  She made sures we messed the place up.  I was first in the group to discover how to use the bags of confetti but I thinks I went too far at one house, I lefts the place a mess and... accidentally used up all the bags of confetti doing it.  Details of the adventure rest in peace here.

29th day of Jastatos -->  Cahaevez made a "cheer song" for me after several forays along the Trail to dispatch numerous waves of bandits.

Cahaevez sings:

    "Kotin, Kotin the giant man
Cleaves them bandits and makes a stand
Swings a claidhmore and hear his roars, many bandits hit the floor
He makes them wish the snow was water, and they were fish."

28th day of Jastatos ->  Rioja was assigned her first escort task.  She was to lead a traveler from the Landing to Zul Logath.  I decided to offer my claidhmore in service.  It turned out to be a shorter trip than anticipated.

28th day of Jastatos ->  My first escort to Ta Vaalor.  Had to go without magics.  Long trip.  Was able to scrounge up enough trade to make it worth while, however, the healer in Zul Logath is a thief!  Cocytel will heal you and takes all your silvers.  Charges 100 times what Mirtag charges, hold you down while healing and then reaches into your pockets to gets your silver.  I had to enrage myself to get out of there with just enough to ride the cart out of town.  Those dwarves are outrageous thieves!  Mayhaps we need to organize to change their ways....

25th day of Jastatos ->  Busy day.  Completed 3 escorts.  Alyiel accompanied me to Solhaven.  Met Alendi in tree spirits on my way to Zul.  He healed me from the 4 bandit attacks from Icemule to there--while I was protecting my escortee from a tree spirit.  Then, Halline sent me on several bandit missions to clear the Trail.  After clearing my bandits, I found Great Lord Trisu knocked down.  I killed off his bandits, then joined him to complete his task.  Killed over 40 bandits.  With Enestrie and Raorke as my sample audience, I came up with my new service and slogan:  "The Bandit Cleavers of Elanthia:  Yah, we got a claidh for that!"

24th day of Jastatos ->  Today was a great day.  I helped Jalodg kill some more bandits; Rioja cull some wolverines; Kahlanni escort a traveler and I worked with my student, Tetreves, go over the finer points of Rage Plate Do just before his 20th training.

Sad ending... Elionwey lost her beau.  As a result, she won't be around much anymore...  She's withdrawing into an extended period of mourning.

18th day of Jastatos ->  At White Haven's service night, a halfling by the name of Hefty Hibbits arrived.  He claimed he was some deputy mayor of Icemule, but no one believed him.  He also claimed that there was some sorcery going on with the snow.  I threw a snowball in his face to show him that our snow works just fine.  He was giving out citizen pins of which I received one, but it crumbled once I tapped it to show to someone.  He would not give another on account that I'm not favored and, therefore, cannot be citizen.  You can read more here.

I left, in a huff, to the Landing for magic show called the Dreavening.  Afterward, I stumbled upon a nice fellow by the name of Ainfore in a tent outside the furrier.  He etched an image unto my suit of mithril field plate.  You can see the whole story here.

5th day of Jastatos (10) ->  While dispatching bandits, my work caught the eye of Akiyama.

1st day of Lumnea (6) -->  Synyster deeply says, "Kotin gots the most bling."

25th day of Ivastaen ->  Roblar helped me test flare rate on armors.  Declared me to be a "flaring porcupine" after almost dying several times.  See here.

18th day of Ivastaen ->  Baynier came to Wineberry's shop to lighten items.  I arrived late but was first chosen.  Baynier sets his golden wyvern pin in the palm of his hand and gently spins it. The golden wyvern pin comes to a stop pointing directly at you! Baynier says it is 7 pounds lighter.  Everyone cheered me, I had not realized I was picked.  You people in attendance weren't very nice to Baynier.  You can read more here.

3rd day of Ivastaen ->  Lopsopod gave me a viridian leather field notebook.  I compiled my many illuminated parchments, scrolls and papers into this notebook.  Now my work will be much more organized.

2nd day of Ivastaen ->  Today I began buying as many enhancive jewelry items as possible.  I'm working to never run out of stamina in the battlefield.

1st day of Ivastaen (5) ->  Vrom, Lopsopod and I were hunting above the Ramp when an Cold Guardian blasted me in the head with an ice bolt.  The bolt bounced off (by my arrow, hehe) and killed Lopsopod.

30th day of Olaesta ->  One of the gods, named Wakefield, came down from the heavens to inquire about my research into bolt protection.  Jaksar (fireballing) and Cherryth (healing) were helping.  Wakefield reminded us that intentionally injuring then healing was abuse of the healing powers the gods grant us.  I explained we weren't intentionally abusing that, we were conducting missle defense research.  He let us off on the condition that we do our research outside the gates and disappeared into the heavens.

27th day of Olaesta ->  Today, while hunting on the glacier, I was gravely wounded.  Upon entering the Town Square of the Landing, I met Vrom, Starmizt and Sorranie.  What a wonderful group of people.

23rd day of Olaesta ->  Doghan whispers, "Claid's worth 2-2.5 mill the Faenor one.  I'll let ya use it if ya want, but if ya get somethin better I would like tah have it back.  Deal?"  I mean, how could I pass up this generous offer?  I used the claidhmore in the arena against those beasts that were immune to my steel claidhmore.  Very effective.

22nd day of Olaesta ->  A shadowy dragon followed me about today.  With a noise that could only be described as gleeful, the shadowy dragon begins a sharp dive aimed straight for you.  Left paralyzed by the sight of the dragon's eyes, you have but a moment to regret your inability to express what exactly you see in those eyes.

You watch helplessly as the dragon pulls out of its dive, furls its wings and aims straight for your chest which it hits at full speed only to pass right through you.  (followed me to next room) A shadowy dragon arrives from the west executing a graceful series of loops as it draws closer to you.

15th day of Olaesta ->  Reetta tells me that, "Your momma said i could be a pretend momma."  I went from being orphaned to having two mamas!

Later Kaladriel shot me at the well to test flaring on armors.  He was hidden, his arrows stuck into my arm and chest and head.  I had minor wounds and he was vaccumed and bolted and flamed, almost to death.  Joness, Synyster, Zavala, Lopsopod and Kaladriel were duly impressed.  Kahlanni came to heal him.  Flares strike those hiding from me!  I kept the glossy red arrow in my head as a keepsake.

14th day of Olaesta ->  Soliere adopted me as her son.

Later, Synyster, Soliere, Dazgarst and I went to Dreavening.  Soliere left and Dazgarst was sleeping, so we left him in the inn.  Synyster reached out his hand toward a rolton and the rolton collapsed to the ground, emitted a final bleat, and died.

11th day of Olaesta ->  I traded some spiked arm greaves for some lightning flaring arm greaves with Amaurn.  I paid 60k for my greaves, Amaurn says it was a fair trade.  She tested it on me, and the greaves stunned her for 15 seconds.

9th day of Olaesta ->  Brutish compliments me on my armor and then tells me a brief history of the full plate.

5th day of Olaesta ->  I won a gem at White Haven for telling a story of the origins of snow - that it is the chilled tears of the gods over each death of a giant.

5th day of Olaesta ->  Yesterday I noticed Ramirah slip out of hiding, reach into my pockets and remove nothing. I turned quickly and grabed Ramirah's wrist, but she had nothing in her hand.  Synyster also observed Ramirah trying to steal from me at the well.  She claimed that it was for coin to buy herb.  I informed Amaurn about Ramirah and she said that Ramirah also tried to steal from Rizzenn (the town smith).  Dazgarst also admitted that Ramirah tried stealing from him (the town cleric).

I reported her crime today.  A town official listens attentively to ,y plea before saying, "I find your accusation of theft against Ramirah highly unlikely.  I suggest you don't make future accusations without a reason."  Apparently, no justice can be had through the government.  So, when  I saw Ramirah at another Dreavening.  I informed everyone to watch their pockets because Ramirah has tried to steal from several people in Icemule.  Ramirah whispered to me, "Your response only makes me want to try it again."

After some in the community began to ignore Ramirah, shewhispered to me, "I am sorry to have stressed you. this is the only time i will say this,"  and later, "Since it seems to be troubling you i will no longer interact with you."  However, this was to be another lie.  Ramirah placed a tart on the well for me as an apology .  I chose to not eat it.  However, Synyster and Kurella ate it and were poisoned.  She tried poisoning me!  I sought out the services of a certain assassin to put an end to Ramirah's mischief.  This only emboldened her.  Therefore I ramped up my information campaign about her thievery and harmful ways.  She was driven out of town no longer pilfering and killing the innocent.

4th day of Olaesta ->  After further testing, I returned to the stucco family at the well.  I shared my story with Soulgrim, Joness, Glorfiendel, Amaurn, Synyster, Zavala, Astaroq.  Mr. Joness wanted to see if the plate would flare against magics.  He struck me a few times and my armor struck him back causing an uproar of laughter.

3rd day of Olaesta ->  While clearing Zombies with Lopsopod for Halline today, I made a terrific discovery!  The bless on my greatsword faded and there was no one around to grant me a new blessing.  Just as we were about to leave, I noticed that a zombie died while striking my armor.

2nd day of Olaesta (4) ->  Soulgrim bought a sharpened steel claidhmore "from a wizard who found it in a box for a few silver."  It has +7 stamina recovery.  He would not allow me to pay but accepted my invar claidhmore so that he could pass it on to someone else.  I'm going to make sure I am worthy of such a gift.

25th day of Charlatos ->  I've been looking for some full plate.  Soulgrim knew this and lent me some plate he was saving until he is able to wear.  Soulgrim says, regarding the suit of etched mithril field plate with faenor inlay, "These are 4x, max lightened and earth flares."  Speaking to you, Soulgrim says, "This is how much I trust you. If you ask Synyster... those cost a fortune."  I value my reputation above all else.  Without a good reputation, what does one have?  After using it for the day, this is how I bought this armor.

20th day of Charlatos ->  Today I helped Mischab, a ranger much more trained than I am, clear some bandits.  I took a lot of damage resulting in bleeding from the head, right arm and left leg as well as severe back injuries.  yet, I kept fighting until his task was completed.  Mischab softly says, "You are fiesty."  A nice compliment.

19th day of Charlatos ->  A sad day today.  My friend Synyster lost his love.  She moved away, never to return.

This should be a good day to remember all my friends that I have made in the past two months.  They include: Sashanna, Medecin, Corae, Slimy, Sugarsweet, Haggatha, Dazgarst, Talanta, Dolant, Rzyu, Jeliara, Divn, Jodeco, Aglarim, Ylandra, Didymus, Jadedlilly, Anolie, Niadja, Glorfiendel, Citan, Iodina, Zulnes, Raervin, Medicius, Annorax, Iseo, Astoraq, Leafiara, Kaladriel, Eyffi, Ongwin and Joness.  Also noted are: Dvessa, Vruily, Rhianui, Risiss, Ibbo, Gwenif, Ushea, Zavala, Sepherann, Prolly, Idamia, and Aureliano.

18th day of Charlatos ->  Reyonolis arrived in Town Center of Icemule.  He complained much about the cold.

17th day of Charlatos ->  Aureliano wanted to give me a task to do to earn a set of full plate.  However, decided that it would be best if I waited until I was better trained.

12th day of Charlatos ->  Regwen sung to some polished vaalorn chain mail that Zulkhaine found in the rift.  It has improves strength and aura and can be recharged.  I will try to find someone who can use this.

9th day of Charlatos ->  Zlukhaine gave me 5 boxes from an unknown source because (he was encumbered); I took them to Amaurn who gave me 53,921 coins to pay Blackfinger to open rather than risk death.  She told me to repay her later.  After Blackfinger, I had 51,689 coin (loss of 2,232).  I did find an azure robe in a box.

6th day of Charlatos (3) ->  I lost my illuminated parchment in town center.  Ongwind said that she saw someone pick it up, female mayhaps.  Sentral gave me a glowing palimpsest to replace it.  Says it has <illumination> on it.  Such a sad day.  At least the town pulled together to help me find something I can read at night.  Ongwind and Rioja both, separately, bought illuminated parchments at the pawn for me.  Now, I have a small collection.  I might be able to bind them into a book.

25th day of Fashanos ->  I made my first investment:  I lent money to Kaliran.  He has done so much for me already, so it was easy to lend the 100k silvers.  Yes, this is all the silver I have to my name.  He needed it to buy a million silver necrotic staff of some sort.  NOTE:  on the 28th day, he repaid the silvers -- with 15k in interest.  I tried to decline the interest, but he insisted.

20th day of Fashanos ->   Kemken would not stop begging for healing (even though he was the ONLY empath in town) and walking in and out of Town Center.  I tried helping, as did Rioja, Divn and some others.  Zlukhaine came to the rescue by stunning him then fearing him to death.  YtrueK witnessed the incidents unfolding, including me cheering and applauding Zlukhaine, and said, "Tough crowd."  Divn dragged the corpse away but Azerik brought it back mistakenly.  We explained the situation and Azerik chuckled as Divn dragged the corpse back out the gates.

20th day of Fashanos ->  Synyster, Divn and I went down to the Cellar.  We killed many worms, urchins, spiders and grahnks.  We walked away with a 10k crown and 24k silvers. Also, Divn got his leg injured bad enough that he couldn't stalk anymore and was temporarily left behind by, uh, me.  We all made it out safely after Synyster and I outflanked the swarm.  These grahnks wear a squid-encrusted metal breastplate.  It seems to protect them very well against powerful strikes.  I plan to return to the Cellar to re-appropriate one of these breast plates for myself.

19th day of Fashanos ->  I tried my luck in arch wights.  Halline is a cruel taskmaster.  The wights boiled me quickly.  Lady Silverli sent Raervin to bring my corpse to town.  They healed and returned me to life.

12th day of Fashanos ->   Idlene cast meteor and killed Monthas and Howlryn.  I dodged several meteors and reported the news via thought net.  The town rallied to our aide and the constable locked his ass up.  Unfortunately, Idlene paid off the jailor and was immediately released.

12th day of Fashanos ->  Great news!  I think.  Zlukhaine offered to encorcel my claidhmore permanently once his temporary cast has worn off.  This is to be a tier one casting.

11th day of Fashanos ->  Synyster delivered to me a gift from Glorfiendal: a deep black harness.  This was able to hold my claidhmore.

5th day of Fashanos ->  I learned enough to reach the 13th training.  Happy I am.  However, Halline would sap that happiness with her task.  She sent me to find a child in the same sentries and rabid dogs that killed me yesterday.  After much searching, I had found the child.  Just as I was about to exit through the hanging seashells, a sentry appeared and cut the child down.  Upon returning to the guard Rex, he turned me away and wanted nothing to do with me.  I sought out Halline to explain, but she claimed the guild has a reputation to uphold and decided to punish me with a three day banishment from the Adventurer's Guild.  I could not believe this.  The child ran into the sentry.  The child should have ducked behind me.  What a terrible day....

4th day of Fashanos (2) ->  These sentries in Thurfel's Keep with their rabid dogs are extreme tough.  I was cut down, again.  I must devise a new strategy otherwise, I won't become the great warrior I know I can be.  Fortunately, Omiav fogged in and returned my corpse to Aglarim whereupon they healed and raised me.

31st day of Lormesta ->  I met a mute girl today, Vojo.  She was clearing snow spectres.  She communicated by writing in a book and showing it to me.  She noticed I was tasked with clearing spectres and ask to join me.  I accepted.  This was the first time I hunted with someone I had not met in town.  She was much better at clearing the spectres than I was and, as a result, I could not complete my task with her.  Not knowing how to communicate this kindly, I simply sat down.  She appeared to have been offended nonetheless.

I need help working with others.  This will be one of my goals.

29th day of Lomesta ->  Rioja fell amongst the crabs of Thurfel's Island.  I dragged her corpse as far as I could.  Then a strange fog appeared.  When it dissipated, it revealed the cleric Daznor.  He scooped her up, grabbed my hand and in an instant a fog enveloped us and dissipated revealing the safety of a temple.

At the well, Ryzu offered to cut my arm off if I tried to tip him for opening boxes.  I decided my arm was worth more than a tip and refrained from tipping him.

My friend, Lopsopod achieved the title of Lord.  Ryzu took notice.

27th day of Lormesta ->  Today....  Today the Commander to me to Kai's Shrine to bond with my claidhmore and then to show me his keep on the Trail.  You can find the details here.

22nd day of Lormesta ->  I attained enough skill to use brigandine armor.  I could not find any that I could afford at the pawn shopso I asked my good friend Soulgrim if he knew where to find this armor.  He knew just where and ran off.  When he returned, the gave me a set of rolaren brigandine armor which is 4x and padded against critical strikes.  I looked up at him and thanked him.  I promised to return it once I found some of my own.

I dragged a dead Lopsopod from outside the bank to town center--he bled to death due to abdomen damage.

21st day of Lormesta ->  I came upon the corpse of Merillion in the southern trenches.  I dragged him to Town Center.  Kaliran was resting when I arrived.  He looked over and became upset.  Apparently this Merillion had been intentionally killing himself all morning.  I met with Soliere again.  She is so kind.  I learned that Citan is her beau.  She  let me to to call on her ifs I ever need a thing.

15th day of Lormesta -> Maylan and I just completed an order for angelic root when I saw my friends, Soulgrim and Synyster chatting outside the west gate.  I happily approached but before I could utter a greeting, I was ambushed by some shadowy rogue.  I have the entire story chronicled here.  Later this day, I was told that the illuminated parchment I've been keeping notes on actually had two pieces of hidden magics.  I should learn to read these arcane symbols in order to gain access to this magical power.

14th day of Lormesta -> I'd like to take a moment to list the friends that I have made thus far.  There is Kahlanni, Omiav, Rioja, Aoife, Chamorr, Evyne, Cherryth, Roonie, Miklan, Regwen, Hagetha, Jadde and Riixae.  Also of note are: Kaliran, Essyreme, Silversoft, Dimnon, Lunascelest, Silverli, Liri, Nvara, Soulgrim, Caylx, Rondentiarella, Trinaindae, Zlukhaine, Synyster, Lomind, Lorrastis, Soliere, Svardin, Daznor, Treauge, Maylan, Chemaine, Athinial, Illothian and the cleric Brokkrsten.  There is Commander Roblar, Kyota, Dagwyn, Bilfords, Roelaren, Ammethyst and Amaurn....

13th day of Lormesta ->  After a long talk with Commander Roblar, I decided to take up the warrior path.  After a few training sessions, I realized that this is the profession for me.  This did come with a cost.  I was sent to Ta' Valor via a guide for retraining.  The guide returned me back to Icemule when the retraining was complete.  I was so happy to be home.  Ta'Valor did not feel very friendly most of the time.

10th day of Lormesta ->  Halline sent me to pumas today.  I did not return alive.  After experiencing the kindness of the gentle calling of Brokkrsten, I returned to the abbey to finish off those pumas once and for all.  However, this time I was accompanied by Athinial who made quick work of said pumas.

7th day of Lormesta ->  The mage Kaliran made several attempts to bring me into his group to grant me many powerful magics. But, alas, I was in deep meditation in my Mind Palace.  When I was finally roused, he shared his disapproval with me.  However his disapproval faded when I explained that I keep myself at a distance now on account of my experience with Colleal and Trusilla.  He nodded in sympathetic disapproval and made arrangements with a certain assassin to pay the two a visit.  I never had problems with those two again.

6th day of Lormesta ->  I fought along side a young warrior name Grountyoung.  His manner was strange.  He would run off into battle without me.  Went traveled to Thurfel's Island in search of monkey paws, but came empty-handed.

4th day of Lormesta ->  I met Lady Soliere via the healer Jadde.  Soliere assisted me in collecting exceptional crab shells.  Later in the day, she returned with a gift sack.  Inside was an imflass scimitar (gifted by Spontae and Kahlanni), a small statue and a 5k note.  Soliere informed me that she had been away from the lands for 16 years.  It appears her generosity had not faded over that time.

3rd day of Lormesta -> I met this bard by the name of Lomind.  He has an aptitude for singing to items and extracting their magical potential.  What a marvelous skill!  Also, Taskmaster Halline sent me on a rescue mission to save a lost child on Thurfel's Island.  Lorrastis accompanied me to teach me the various skills needed to locate and safely retrieve a lost child.

1st day of Lormesta (1), 5117 -> Soulgrim and Nvara sought to improve my chances of survival up in these cold mountains.  They outfitted me with some old double leather, a hooded black silk cloak, a multicolored coat and a bone-hilted vultite greatsword.  Later, whilst I was sleeping on the bench in Town Center, I was assaulted and robbed by Colleal and Trusilla.  They dragged me out the gates and left me to die.  When I roused, I determined to never allow this to happen again.  Upon returning to town, Daznor tended to my wounds free of charge.

28th day of Eorgaen ->  I'm trying my hand at opening boxes.  It is not working well and my efforts have not gone unnoticed.  It would be a bit difficult to not notice the gas cloud that was released from the trap on the box I tried to open.  Lady Regwen had just taken me to the local locksmith and bought me an opal-studded alum lockpick to use.  This is a gift of great value.  When I try to decline, she directs me to pass on her generosity to the next person in need I meet.  The details of how I ended up in the stocks can be viewed here.

26th day of Eorgaen (12), 5116  ->  I entered the town of Icemule for the first time.  I have been scouting the local environs recently to make sure it was hospitable.  The first person I met was a love-struck sorcerer  by the name of Lopsopod.  I must have looked terrible for, after a quick appraisal, he generously gave me 2,000 silver to properly outfit myself.  I made sure he knew that I would repay his gift someday.  He smiled and continued on his merry way.
